For the most part, teenagers can be coached the same as seniors. There are, however, a number of specific differences to be aware of.
Power! Teenage boys in particular are prone to want to get the most powerful bow they can, but as with any archer draw weight is the enemy of technique. Encourage them to use the least powerful bow that will get them to their maximum distance.
Overambition! The optimism of youth will persuade many archers that they should be exceeding the recommended maximum distances. Discourage this.
Motivation. Both boys and girls can be difficult to motivate to move beyond social archery into trying to be the best archer they can be.
